Do you keep hearing about Silver Swans ballet classes and are frustrated to see there are no classes near you?   Well, the great news is that Suffolk based ballet school LTS School of Dance are starting a brand new Silver Swans ballet class in Woodbridge from April 2024.  And frankly, we’re sorry it took so long!

The classes will take place from Thursday 11^th April 2024 at 10am – 11am at Bealings Village Hall.  And we can’t wait to see you there.  Whether you’ve danced in the past, dabbled a bit over the years, or are a complete novice, Silver Swans ballet classes are for you. 

For those of you who have never heard of Silver Swans then let us explain.  Silver Swans ballet classes are designed for older learners in a way that fits everybody.  The movements are easily adaptable based on ability to make sure it is at the right level for each person. It’s a perfect way to improve mobility, posture, coordination and stamina.  And of course, have some fun!

You may have questions, so we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions below:  

What do I wear to a Silver Swans Ballet class?

Just wear comfortable clothes that you would wear for a gentle workout.  If you have ballet shoes wear them, if not dancing in socks is fine.  If you find that Silver Swans is for you, then you can buy some ballet shoes later.  We don’t offer tutus which has disappointed some of our attendees!  (the nearest dance shop to Woodbridge that stocks ballet shoes is Dance Vibe in Ipswich) 

What do Silver Swans classes cost and how do I pay?

Silver Swan ballet classes in Woodbridge cost just £8.00 per class, or £7.50 for block bookings paying by bank transfer.  Most Silver Swans choose to pay as they go, which is a great way to try it out without committing.  So, just do whatever works for you. 

What if I can’t make it to my Silver Swans class every week?

We find that many of our Silver Swans have busy lives with other commitments and sometimes have to dip out of a week of ballet here and there.  This is fine, there’s always a warm welcome awaiting you on your return.    

Is Silver Swans term time only?

No!  We keep right on going.  Woodbridge Silver Swans ballet classes will continue all year round.  Which is great news for you, but maybe not so much for those looking for you to offer childcare!    

Do you offer any other ballet classes in Woodbridge?

No, not in Woodbridge.  For children’s ballet in Woodbridge there are two registered RAD ballet schools.  They are Dilys Dance Studio and The Woodbridge School of Dance.
